About Brenda:
Teaching and sharing my knowledge of yoga and Ayurveda is my passion. I started practicing yoga in 1999, to help resolve health issues that I struggled with. I attained my first 200 RYT in 2011 and I opened Yoga for You. Since then I have continued my education by receiving another 200 RYT yoga certification and have completed several formal training hours to maintain my RYEC with Yoga Alliance. Recently I received my certification as an Ayurvedic Consultant through the Chopra Center. Ayurveda has added a new dimension to my life and I want to empower others so they can benefit from a healthier lifestyle. My continued inspiration comes from the students and my teachers who have helped me on this amazing path.

Quotes from this episode
Ayurveda is basically a scientifically proven method of keeping the body healthy. We want optimum health in our body. Eating the proper foods, having a routine, knowing about our environment, all of that, everything that’s around us, makes up what we are and affects who we are and what we are.
Ayurveda is about personalization: you know what’s right for you. It’s not just eating salads and fruit and that’s it. It’s about what’s going to work best for you and your body. It’s not about torturing yourself every single day.
We are as individual about our food as our thumbprint is. And that’s what we do with Ayurveda. We individualize it completely for that person.
If you’re eating properly, you can keep the inflammation down.
This is not just a whimsical thing. This is doctor proven and scientifically proven. They are now doing scientific studies on why all of this works.
What you’re putting in your body, how you’re putting it in, and when you’re putting it in makes a difference on how it comes out.
This class can be for anyone who’s living with any kind of dis-ease, especially some of the chronic things that keep coming up for you.
